This is my goat that I call "Mr. Big Fish"
He has 65 nannies to take care of. He produces about 400 offspring per year.
All our goats are primarily Spanish and Boer mix. We crossed low-maintenance Spanish does with Boer bucks to create the fast-gaining, first-generation hybrid goat. Spanish Goats are very resilient, low maintenance and the hardest of all goats. Boer goats are meat goats due to their size. Spanish goats are tough, adaptable, graze on brush, scrub and branches—and they thrive. Bred together we have a larger, eating machines for unwanted vegetation or a (biological control agents) for unwanted brush and unwanted vegetation control. Goats have been used to clear unwanted vegetation for centuries. This practice has become popular in the Northwest where they are used to remove invasive species not easily removed by humans, including (thrones) blackberry vines and poison oak, kudzu, honeysuckle, Bittersweet Vine, Japanese Silk Grass, Orchard grass, Johnson grass, hedges. and pop corn trees to name a few. The role of goats as biological control agents will become increasingly important in the future due to environmental concerns and elevated costs of other control methods such as mechanical cutting and herbicide application. All our goats are in excellent health. We use a local vet when needed. We worm all our goats regularly and when needed. If you are thinking about buying goats call up. I have been using goats now for over five years now, wish I would have been used them 25 years ago. My goats have saved me a lot of money and have made my fish business easier with goats.
